The practical training module comprises of two phases:

  1. Operation of a small multi-rotor UA (weighing less than 15kg)
  2. Operation of a large multi-rotor UA (weighing at least 15kg)

Proficiency in small multi-rotor UA operation must be demonstrated through a practical flight evaluation before training of large multi-rotor UA operation can proceed. The practical flight evaluation is conducted as a mock practical assessment and also serves to familiarise the trainee with the procedures of the UAPL Practical Assessment.
