About this course

This course prepares existing holders of a Class A (Rotorcraft) UAPL limited to multi-rotor only, to operate a helicopter UA safely and remove their multi-rotor limitations.

The course comprises 3 parts:

Simulator Training (4 modules)12h

– 4 simulator modules: helicopter UA3h each

Practical Training (7 modules)21h

– 6 practical modules: helicopter UA3h each

– 1 mock evaluation: helicopter UA3h

UAPL Proficiency Check1h

– 1 removal of limitation from Class A (Rotorcraft) UAPL limited to multi-rotor only. Proficiency check conducted by an Authorised Flight Examiner for proficiency in operating helicopter UATrainees completing this practical training program can expect to log 5.5 flight hours.

What you will learn

Trainees will have hands-on training with our instructors during the on-site training and will be provided with training materials and a copy of a simulator to be brought home for home-base learning. Trainees are required to pass a simulated mock evaluation on the last simulator session before they are allowed to proceed to their practical modules.
